A spring school on nature-based solutions (NBS) for hydro-meteorological hazard mitigation in rural mountainous landscapes took place from April 2-11 and hosted wide international participation.

A WP5 report was presented at the Policy Business Forum 19th April 2021. Three NBS financing models emerged: private, blended and public. They summarise some key messages of the workshop.
A meeting and site visit to the NBS project Erill la Vall gully in Catalunya, Spain with PHUSICOS partners, promoters of the project and local experts took place in late July.
The visit aimed to analyse the extent of problems such as erosion and rock falls affecting the road at both sites, as well as to assess how the nature based solutions will work, as well as discussing other possible technical solutions.
