As part of PHUSICOS WP2, Idoia Aruzo and Juan Terradez from CTP organized a site visit to the proposed NBS sites in the Pyrenees on June 4 and 5.
The PHUSICOS Concept Case in the Kaunertal, Austria organized an education and outreach workshop in a local primary school on the 14th of May 2019.
The Consortium meeting in Vienna, May 9th – 10th, coincided with the one-year mark of the PHUSICOS project and highlighted the first nature-based solutions proposals at the case study sites.
PHUSICOS was present at the EGU 2019 in Wien in mid April with a poster presentation on behalf of NGI about the PHUSICOS project on “Nature-Based Solutions to reduce the risk in rural mountain landscapes”.

PHUSICOS participated in an expert meeting on implementation of large-scale demonstration projects for disaster risk reduction and climate adaptation in UNESCO’s headquarter in Paris on 27th February.
The first clustering meeting with the H2020 Hydro-met projects was held January 22-23 2019 in Ljubljana, Slovenia to explore areas of collaboration and potential joint actions for a NBS Hydro-meteorological Risk Reduction Task Force.
